Rooting the Decorative Themes of the Golestan Province of the Golestan Province from pre -Islamic motifs

Abstract
One of the most prominent decorations used i n the tombstones of G olestan pro ince is the altar pattern with various motifs, which has always h ad a c ontin uous pres ence an d o ften contai s Quranic verses, ha diths, s y mbolic m otifs, as w ell as the d ate and figure of t he tombston e makers in its in terior and margin. The authors in t he present study, w hile iden tifyin g the dive rsity in th e altar p attern o f gr aves i n Golestan, studied t he s ym bolic motifs used in the province's gangrs and the following questions and are trying to answer the f ollowing questions:
How much is the influence of decorative themes in the altar -shaped stone -shaped rocks of Golestan province, from pre -Islamic illustrated motifs? How many categories are divided into appearance in terms of appearance?
The research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of co llecting information is documentary and field. The results of the research, which was carried out from the study of 15 altar m otifs in the petroglyphs of Golestan region, indicate that the pattern of the altar on the petroglyphs is divided into three categories: simple, framed and congressional altars, and the symbolic motifs that can be seen in (the interior or the margin) of them. It can be (such as the pattern of cedar, lotus, sun, etc.) goes back to the pre-Islamic period such as the Sassanids, Achaemenids, etc.
