Abstract
Archaeomythology or Archaeology of myths is a window of interdisciplinary studies in which the archaeologist examines the roots of a myth from the perspective of archaeological evidence to gain an understanding of the "historicity" of the myth's core . In fact, , this category of research requires a chain of information related to historical sciences, mythology, archeology, as well as familiarity with two study approaches called "historical approach" and "cultural approach", so the researcher who enters this valley, Must overcome all of these .
The existence of two detailed kings lists in the accounts taken from the lost book of Assyrica by Ctesias of Cenidus . the remnants of which remain mainly in the second book of Diodorus and the book of Eusebius, all indicate some kings before the rulers named by Herodotus whom they are unknown in terms of history and archaeology. One group of these kings is called the Assyrian rulers, but apparently not all of them are Assyrians, and the other group is a list of Median kings. In addition to analyzing the identities of these mythical figures, this article seeks to arrive at an accurate and possible chronology for them that is both consistent with the chronological-historical data contained in written sources and defensible from the point of view of field archaeological evidences . What characters and historical periods correspond to the beginning and end of these kings is a topic that in this article, by doing so, the related data will be analyzed and studied.
