It is located in the south of Sistan and in the region by no inhabitants and quite desert. Indeed, Gerdi domain is a part of desert of Iran.
The results of archaeological surveys that performed in this domain are as follows: ??? archaeological sites belong to the Iron Age; ??? sites to the historical period and ?? sites to the Islamic era. It should be notes that some of the archaeological sites have two or three different settlement periods as like as prehistory, historical period or Islamic era.
